the beautiful Beihai Park 7th May 2005, 17:12
Average Score: 2 (1 vote)

2 more days to go & the week-long may day holiday is almost over. a spur of the moment decision to check out this park north of Forbidden City - said to be the world's earliest royal garden - turned out to be enjoyable (despite of the windy weather). it's basically an old imperial garden around a lake, w/ an islet in the middle where the huge white dagoba (the park's landmark) was erected hundreds of years ago.

the mural behind is on the walls inside a small staircase leading to the bottom of the dagoba's base.
